LAWSON announce new single ‘Standing in the Dark’

Lawson have unveiled their third single, Standing in the Dark.

“Standing in the Dark has been our favourite song to perform live for such a long time,” said band member Ryan Fletcher.

“Andy (Brown) and I wrote it whilst staying in a mate’s flat which was overlooking the O2 Arena a couple of years ago and getting the chance to perform it earlier this year at the arena itself was a definite highlight for us as a band.”

He added: “It’s without doubt the song we’re most excited about releasing to date.

“I’m sure the fans will be as thrilled as we are that it’s going to be our third single before our album Chapman Square comes out.”

Standing in the Dark follows their previous hits When She Was Mine and Taking Over Me – both of which entered the top five earlier this year.

Lawson are also due to kick off their ‘Hometown Tour’ later this year, starting in Liverpool on October 31 and wrapping up at Newcastle’s Metro Arena on November 30.

Standing In The Dark will be available to download from October 14 with their debut album Chapman Square, available on October 22.
