Vicky quits Geordie Shore

Vicky Pattison has confirmed she will leave Geordie Shore at the end of this season.

The Geordie Shore star admitted that it was “so tough” making the decision to leave the MTV show but is looking forward to a new challenge.

Pattison confirmed today that she has decided to quit the hit reality series after nine series and has now appeared in an emotional goodbye interview to explain her reasons.

“It was just the right time for me,” she said.

“The show has been going for a long time now and I’ve been fortunate enough to be part of it from the start.

“But it’s changed. It’s different characters now, there’s different people involved, and everything that everyone else is happy with doing and still enjoying, I just don’t.

“I’m in a completely different place, and I don’t feel angry about it or anything, or even upset – I’m pleased I’ve moved on and I’m pleased that they’re all still enjoying themselves. It just didn’t work any more, not for me.”

Pattison admitted that some of her fellow Geordie Shore stars were “upset” and “in complete shock” when she told them the news, adding: “It made it hard to see their reactions, especially Holly and Charlotte.

“I’ve always seen myself as quite a mother figure to the girls and to see them almost at a loss and not believing that I was going to go through with it and go was heartbreaking, it was really hard. But I had to be selfish in this one.”
