Ashley Cole bids £5k for Ellie Goulding date

Ashley Cole reportedly bid up to £5,000 to have a date with singer Ellie Goulding at a recent charity auction.

The Chelsea footballer is said to have lost out to a businessman at the England Footballers Foundation Lions And Roses charity auction on Sunday.

The event was held to raise money for the Help For Heroes and Cancer Research charities at The Brewery in London.

 
Meanwhile, Cole’s teammate John Terry paid £16,000 for a lunch with boyband JLS, reports the Daily Mail.

JLS later tweeted: “Cancer research went in tonight!!thanks for John terry for helping to raise over 30k on a JLS lot!excellent work!!”

Ashley Cole was rumoured to be back together with his ex-wife Cheryl Cole last year, until he reportedly told her he did not want to start a family.

He was most recently linked with Playboy model Melissa Howe.

Ellie Goulding has been spotted with dubstep artist Skrillex in recent weeks.
