Bastille debut album tops UK album chart

Bastille have topped the UK chart with their debut album, Bad Blood.

The London group entered the top spot just 3,000 copies ahead of Emeli Sandé, who drops a place with Our Version of Events.

Frontman Dan Smith told The Official Charts Company: “If it’s true, then it’s the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever heard.

“We are completely blown away by how many people have bought the album, and have no idea what to say.”
