Big Brother 13: Meet the housemates

Big Brother is back with 12 new housemates entering the compound last night.

The first entrant to the house, Deana Uppal, was informed upon entering that she will be immune from the first evictions, but had to nominate three housemates for the public vote this week based on her first impressions of the group, ultimately opting to nominate Conor McIntyre, Victoria Eisermann and Lydia Louisa.

The full selection of housemates for Big Brother 13 are as follows:

Deana Uppal, 23, the current Miss India UK, and a successful model in both the UK and India, where she currently lives in a house with three servants. She is happy being single, and claims that the greatest love of her life is money.

Arron Lowe, 23, a model for Abercrombie & Fitch and Hollister, and a Mixed Martial Arts fighter. He claims to be looking to return to MMA after Big Brother, and is mainly in it for “the glory”. His strategy for Big Brother is to get others to like him and then play them off against each other.

Caroline Wharram, 20, a former boarding school girl from Surrey who claims to be “weird, embarrassing and a bit of a loser”. After dropping out of university her only job has been as a charity ‘mugger’, which ended when she dropped her phone down a toilet.

Conor McIntyre, 24, a personal trainer from Northern Ireland who claims the most important person in his life is him, adding: “Basically I love myself.” His party trick is to wrap his penis around his wrist and to ask people the time, something he calls “the c**k watch”.

Luke Scrase, 24, a nightclub promoter from Stoke-on-Trent who claims to be the best looking alpha male in any bar he goes into. He says his ideal type of girl would have a “proper tight body” and “not be stupid” as he likes a challenge.

Shievonne Robinson, 28, an ex-Playboy bunny from Lewisham who thinks all men are liars and cheaters. Her party trick is to smoke a cigarette with her boobs, and she can down 10 tequila shots in 30 seconds.

Benedict Garrett, 32, an actor in the adult industry and former teacher – he was suspended from his last teaching job in 2010 when it was revealed he was a stripper and had worked in porn. He defended himself against improper conduct at a hearing and can return to teaching in two years, while remaining a proud spokesman for the porn industry.

Lauren Carre, 20, a criminology student from Jersey who holds a black belt in karate. Always the dumper in relationships, Lauren is newly single, and is ideally looking for “some good looking and intelligent guys in the house”.

Luke Anderson, 31, a South African-born chef raised in Wales who had a sex change after feeling like “a boy in a girl’s body” from a young age. He hopes that being on the show will help to show trans guys that it is possible to lead a normal life.

Adam Kelly, 27, a former member of the infamous Crips gang from Los Angeles. Since the age of 19 he has turned his life around by working as a mentor for young people. People find him intimidating but he doesn’t mind, stating: “I would rather that than people trying to take the piss out of me all the time.”

Ashleigh Hughes, 20, a potty-mouthed Essex girl who claims not to conform to the stereotype, saying: “Yes I wear fake things when I go out but I’m not like that TOWIE lot.” She’s happily single but says she “loves flirting and chatting to boys”, and wants to win Big Brother for the fame, regardless of whether she is loved or hated.

Sara McLean, 22, a former Miss Edinburgh who finished as runner-up to Miss Scotland in 2011. She believes she should have won but was thought to be ‘too opinionated’ by the judges. A wild, outrageous flirt, Sara is also a supporter of the Conservative Party and staunch Margaret Thatcher fan.

Scott Mason, 20, hopes to launch a career as a ‘celebrity historian’ after Big Brother. He never came out officially to his family, suspecting that they may have “gathered” by now. He enjoys hunting game and would love to visit Africa to “bring trophies back”.

Lydia Louisa, 25, a professional dancer who is currently engaged to Andy Scott-Lee, who she met while dancing in a music video for his sister Lisa Scott-Lee. Lydia can’t drink alcohol as she’s allergic to it, and her greatest success to date was appearing in the film Mamma Mia!, where she had a scene with Meryl Streep.

Chris James, 21, a silver-tongued and squeaky-voiced doorman who also works as a bailiff. Chris claims to have a “50-inch chest” and is fascinated with conspiracy theories, The Illuminati, and anything paranormal.

Victoria Eisermann, 41, a plus-sized former glamour model, animal rights campaigner and dog-lover, who recently set up a dog rescue charity. She became a vegan eight years ago, and hopes to win Big Brother so she can “start a vegan handbag and shoe company”.
