Branden Grace swings into top 100

Branden Grace has moved into the world’s top 100 following his back-to-back European Tour wins.

A month after coming through the qualifying school, the South African is up to 92nd in the world rankings from a position of 271st at the start of the year.

On Sunday he added the Volvo Champions title to the Joburg Open crown he won the previous weekend.

The other big mover in 2012 so far is American Johnson Wagner. First and joint second the past two weeks on the PGA Tour, he is now 68th after ending last year 220th.

Mark Wilson, the winner of the US Tour’s Humana Challenge on Sunday, has jumped from 57th to 40th after his two-shot win in California.

This week sees the world top four – Europeans Luke Donald, Lee Westwood, Rory McIlroy and Martin Kaymer – all play their first events of the year in Abu Dhabi. Tiger Woods, currently 25th, will be there too.
