Coronation Street’s Chris Fountain tipped for Celebrity Big Brother

Chris Fountain has been tipped as a last minute addition to Celebrity Big Brother after his online rap video caused him to be sacked from Coronation Street.

The actor is said to be wanted by Channel 5 bosses after Corrie bosses sacked him from the ITV soap this week, following the release of a controversial YouTube video.

Fountain was fired by producers after offensive rap videos he posted online were deemed “unacceptable”.

Last year, he had filmed himself wearing a Halloween mask and rapping several obscene and expletive-filled rhymes, including boasts of violence and rape.

Bookmakers are now offering bets for the actor to join the reality TV series, in order for him to explain his actions and repair his career, according to the Daily Star.

Coral is currently offering odds of just 4-1 for him to make an appearance.

Fountain’s fellow Coronation Street stars William Roache and Michael Le Vell – who are both facing sex abuse charges – are also allegedly wanted by Celebrity Big Brother bosses for future series.

Celebrity Big Brother returns on Thursday, August 22 at 9pm and Channel 5 has promised that the show will start with a “big twist”.
