Dallas stars set to return for JR funeral

In the wake of Larry Hagman’s recent death, TNT have been promising Dallas fans that the iconic J.R. Ewing would be given a worthy send off and it would seem a few familiar faces are coming along to pay their respects.

According to TV Line, J.R.’s on-screen funeral will take place during the eighth episode of Season 2 and is rumored to feature a number of returning “Dallas” alums.

Deborah Shelton – who played JR’s mistress Mandy Winger on the original Dallas between 1984 and 1987 – will make a brief appearance in the funeral episode.

Cathy Podewell – who played JR’s second wife Cally Ewing from 1988 to 1991 – will also feature, alongside previously confirmed returnees Ted Shackelford (Gary Ewing), Steve Kanaly (Ray Krebbs) and Charlene Tilton (Lucy Ewing).

Victoria Principal is also rumoured to be in talks to reprise her role as Pam Ewing – the 63-year-old last appeared on Dallas in 1987 and has not acted since 2001.

Dallas season two will premiere on January 28 in the US with the UK premier on Channel 5  the following evening at 9pm
