David Haye was knocked out of I’m A Celebrity last night, taking third place on the show.

The boxer left Charlie Brooks and Ashley Roberts who will battle if out in the final on Saturday night’s show.

Speaking to Ant and Dec the 32-year-old boxer said was “weird to be finally out of camp but said he was looking glad he had ‘freedom at last’.

When asked if he was disappointed at being kicked out of the show ahead of the final he said: “It’s the way it was meant to be.” Adding: “I had a lot of fun.”

David confessed he didn’t think he’d get so far in the show and said that being part of the experience had pushed him out of his comfort zone, telling Ant and Dec: “You are really laid bare. Everybody gets to see the real you.”

Joking about just how viewers saw every inch of David, Dec replied: “You really were laid bare.”

David said he had a ‘really good time’ during his time in the jungle but the lack of food was really difficult for him.

The boxer, who revealed he has acting aspirations on Friday night’s show commented on his weight loss, saying: “You feel yourself getting smaller and smaller and skinnier and skinner.”

David refused to comment on who he wanted to be crowned Queen of the Jungle, praising both the girls.

Speaking about Ashley he said: “She’s great, a real go-getter, genuine, fun bubbly chick.”

“Charlie is super positive, always looks on the bright side.

“Every single time she said she would go she underestimates herself.”

“I want them both to win, I want it to be even – They are both winners in my book.”
