Dizzee Rascal reveals details of new album
Dizzee Rascal has revealed details about his forthcoming album.
The rapper confirmed that he is aiming to release his fifth studio LP in November this year.
Speaking to Digital Spy ahead of his headline slot at the Eristoff Forest Party, he revealed: “It should be out around November. It’s uptempo, banging s**t. It’s very ravey in parts, but there are some mellow moments as well.
“I still feel like I’m halfway through so I’m not sure how the final record will turn out.”
Asked if he has collaborated with anyone on the record, he said: “There’s nothing there in terms of collaborations just yet. I’ve been focusing on producers for the moment. The album feels like a long way off yet so I don’t want to say too much. It’s exciting, though!”
The new album follows 2009’s Tongue N’ Cheek, which peaked at number three on the charts and spawned the number one hits ‘Dance Wiv Me’, ‘Bonkers’, ‘Holiday’ and ‘Dirtee Disco’.
The star recently unveiled his duet with DJ Fresh, ‘The Power’, which is out on June 3.
