EastEnders’ Lorna Fitzgerald caught inhaling hippy crack

EastEnders actress Lorna Fitzgerald has been caught inhaling what appears to be ‘hippie crack’.

Lorna, who plays Abi Branning in the soap, was pictured taking the legal high after an alcohol-fuelled night out at a drum and bass rave at Lightbox club in Vauxhall, south London on Saturday, according to The Sun newspaper.

The young star allegedly bought four balloons filled with nitrous oxide for £10 from a street dealer in the early hours of the morning, and can be seen clutching one in her hand.

Lorna and her pal were allegedly each inhaling two balloons filled with the gas, which makes people light-headed and euphoric due to oxygen deprivation.

While the substance is legal in the UK, it is dangerous and has been associated with around 17 deaths since 2006.

Show bosses are said to be unhappy about the claims and are planning to hold talks in order to discuss her behaviour.

A spokesperson from drugs charity the Angelus Foundation condoned her behaviour, saying it was ‘worrying’ how ‘fashionable’ the dangerous craze has become.

They claim the situation could have been life-threatening since the incident allegedly occurred alongside a main road.
