EastEnders Spoiler: Jay visits the police

The police close in on Andrew
EastEnders’ Jay Mitchell continues to be the weak link in Phil and Ben’s big cover-up in next week’s episodes.

Fans saw Jay left horrified after he witnessed Ben kill Heather Trott (Cheryl Fergison) earlier this week, and the situation doesn’t get any easier as he struggles with his conscience in the coming days.

Fortunately for the Mitchells, Andrew Cotton (Ricky Grover) is the firm focus of police attention next week as he faces tough questioning from detectives, who are convinced that he killed Heather.

However, Jay (Jamie Borthwick) feels haunted by the truth – especially as Shirley (Linda Henry) is taking care of George for the time being and the youngster is a constant reminder of Heather.

Jay finds it difficult when he sees Shirley looking after George.

As things look increasingly bleak for Andrew, the reality of the cover-up hits home for Jay as he realises that an innocent man could be sent to jail for life.

Heading out without telling Ben (Joshua Pascoe) and Phil (Steve McFadden) where he’s going, Jay pays a secret visit to the police station. What will he tell the detectives?

Jay voluntarily goes to the police.

EastEnders airs these scenes on Tuesday, March 27 and Thursday, March 29 at 7.30pm on BBC One.
