Entourage movie confirmed by Warner Bros

Warner Bro have confirmed a movie version of HBO’s Entourage is on the way.

The comedy-drama series starring Jeremy Piven will be directed by creator Doug Ellin, reports Deadline.

Ellin has also written the screenplay, having previously been executive producer on the TV series with Mark Wahlberg and Stephen Levinson.

Adrian Grenier, Kevin Connolly, Kevin Dillon, Jerry Ferrara and Piven are currently negotiating deals to reprise their roles from the HBO show.

Ellin previously confirmed that the film will take place six months after the TV show ended.

“There are interesting developments about Ari as a studio head, and that’s still the first page for me,” he said in September.

“But foremost is the friendship between the guys who are still hanging out and going to fun parties, and it continues with the same characters.”

Entourage follows a group of male childhood friends, who move to Hollywood after one of them (Grenier) becomes a movie star. It ran between 2004 and 2011.
