EXPLOSIVE: Hollyoak’s Mercedes kidnapped

Wedding day disaster… Pregnant bride Mercedes Fisher kidnapped and locked up by serial killer Silas in explosive Hollyoaks storyline

Your wedding day is meant to be the happiest of your life, but things didn’t go quite to plan when Mercedes Fisher arrived to marry footballer Riley Costello.

After calling the wedding off at the altar following her confession to Riley that she had an affair with his father Carl, Mercedes, played by Jennifer Metcalfe, decided to take her mind off things by going on her honeymoon alone.

But, as if things couldn’t get any worse for the pregnant bride, Mercedes receives a surprise visit in the venue’s honeymoon suite from Riley’s grandfather Silas – who kidnaps her and locks her in a vault.

Viewers will tomorrow see Mercedes (Jennifer Metcalfe) ending what should be one of the happiest days of her life chained up on a filthy mattress.

The pretty brunette is left fearing for her own life, as well as the life of her unborn baby, as she struggles to think of a way to escape from the vault.

Mercedes’ situation is made even worse as nobody even notices she has gone missing – believing instead that she had jetted off to Dubai on honeymoon.

Jennifer recently revealed she had a dark storyline coming up, saying: ‘It’s been intense and hard work but I’ve loved every minute of it.’

She added: ‘I can’t say too much, but it’s about to get even more exciting. The writers have definitely come up with the goods.’

Nurse Lynsey Nolan (Karen Hassan) has previously been targeted by Silas and managed to escape his clutches.

Later this week she receives a chilling parcel from Silas warning her he is planning something horrifying for Halloween.
