Frankie Cocozza causes carnage at X Factor party – as new sidekick Jonjo Kerr lashes out in his defence

Defending his friend: Mild-mannered Jonjo Kerr lets the photographer knows what he thinks of him as he protects Frankie CocozzaFrankie Cocozza was up to his old tricks last night, but employed a new sidekick for double trouble.

Mild-mannered Jonjo Kerr, who was eliminated in the first round of The X Factor live shows, was seen lashing out at photographers and protecting his shaggy-haired friend from further melodrama.

The singing rejects were attending the ITV1 show wrap party, alongside champions Little Mix and runner-up Marcus Collins, at the DSTRKT nightclub in central London.

Cocozza, 18, appeared to land himself in hot water by arguing with a group of girls – including an unknown blonde who was striding the pavements shoeless.

Jonjo, a former infantry soldier from Coventry who served in the Yorkshire Regiment, leapt to his defence and dragged him off in the other direction before kicking a camera held by a paparazzo.

Frankie is no stranger to a little controversy, having left the series after dabbling with cocaine.

Despite his departure, he continued on his quest to cement himself in the showbiz world with several ventures to trendy London hotspots and expensive hotels – always followed by a gaggle of girls.

The Brighton teenager had been looking forward to his night on the tiles, previously tweeting boyband member Johnson: ‘@BradleyJohnsonx are you in london yet? #askbradley I’m excited.’Feeling festive: Despite arguing with the shoeless girl - Frankie proves he's in the Christmas spirit with his boxers

He also predicted how the evening would pan out, telling his 400,000 followers: ‘reckon im gunna (sic)’ be on santa’s naughty list this year.’

While he was invited to the shenanigans last night, Frankie was not allowed to sing on the series finale last Saturday, which saw the return of 2 Shoes, James Michael, Jonjo and even Goldie Cheung.

He has also failed to be asked to perform on The X Factor tour, which will see the finalists play a hose of arena shows in February and March 2012.

Yet he still stands a chance of fame, after Channel 5 bosses have swept in to sign the cheeky chappy for their second series of Celebrity Big Brother which starts next month.

According The Sun, Cocozza will pocket £30,000 for agreeing to be a housemate in the fly-on-the-wall reality show which saw Paddy Doherty take home the winner’s title this summer.

He has apparently already told producers: ‘I will shag someone in the house.’

Other ‘stars’ tipped to appear include Natalie Cassidy and Ryan Giggs’ sister-in-law Natasha Giggs.
