Gerard Butler looks the picture of health in Cannes

Gerard Butler looked the picture of health at the The IWC and Finch’s Quarterly Review Annual Filmmakers Dinner, held at Hotel Du Cap-Eden Roc in Antibes last night.

The Scot, who is now teetotal following a stint in rehab earlier this year for an addiction to prescription painkillers, looked dapper in a fitted grey suit with light tie, while posing with models Karolina Kurkova and Petra Nemcova at the event in Cannes.

Former Victoria’s Secret Angel Kurkova looked stunning in a backless black dress for the occasion, while Nemcova opted for a plunging red gown to show off her enviable curves.

Gerard wasn’t the only Hollywood heartthrob at the event, as he was also joined for dinner by stars including Ewan McGregor, Adrien Brody and esteemed actor Robert De Niro.

According to sources at the event, Gerard went for his own form of fizzy drink – thanks to a retro SodaStream machine inside.

Apparently, Gerard was seen letting one lady have a sip of his drink, before leaving with her a few hours later.

A source told The Sun: ‘He got a few strange looks, but had no qualms sipping drinks from the SodaStream while everyone else was swanning about with glasses of expensive booze.

‘But the lady seemed very impressed by his down-to-earth nature.’

It was recently reported that Gerard is in advanced talks to star in action thriller ‘Manhunt’.

According to reports, the 42-year-old actor is negotiating a role for the film that sees a team of FBI agents going after their most wanted man, domestic terrorist and survivalist James Tollan, in the North Carolina wilderness.

The movie is expected to start production at the end of the year.
