Glastonbury 2016 confirms host of new acts

Glastonbury Festival has just added a host of new names to its 2016 lineup.

Ellie Goulding, LCD Soundsystem, Foals, Disclosure, Beck, New Order, The 1975 and Sigur Ros are among those confirmed for the bill.

Organiser Emily Eavis also posted the Stanley Donwood-designed poster, and added: “Here’s a snippet of our 2016 line up…”

Also announced were Cyndi Lauper, Years & Years, The Last Shadow Puppets, Wolf Alice, Bastille and Fatboy Slim.

ZZ Top, Earth, Wind & Fire, Grimes, Skepta, James Blake, CHVRCHES, Two Door Cinema Club, Jake Bugg and Madness are all heading for Worthy Farm this summer too.

They join Muse, who will headline the Pyramid Stage on the Friday (June 24);Adele, who tops the bill on the Saturday (June 25); and Coldplay, who will close events on the Sunday (June 26).

Also previously announced were PJ Harvey, Jess Glynne and Jeff Lynne’s ELO, with the latter playing the Sunday ‘legends’ slot.

Glastonbury 2016 takes place from June 22 to June 26.
