Golden Girl: Cheryl wows the crowd on opening night of solo tour

Fierce: Cheryl Cole wowed crowds with a stellar performance at the Odyssey arena in Belfast. The show kicks off her A Million Lights solo tour

 

Cheryl Cole proved why she is the dubbed the golden girl of British pop, kicking off her very first solo arena tour in Belfast last night.

Dressed in a golden, print jumpsuit, Cheryl wowed crowds with an energetic performance, busting as many moves as she did outfit changes.



Cheryl’s on stage outfits, designed by stylist Renelou Padora, highlighted her amazing shape – from her plunging golden jumpsuit to a cropped pink hoodie and baggy tracksuit bottoms, which showed off her enviably flat stomach.

Cheryl’s day didn’t exactly get off to a great start with news that her boyfriend, and backing dancer, Tre Holloway broke his knee just hours before the first show was about to open.

But ever the professional, she quickly pulled everything together, performing hits old and new to an excited crowd Irish crowd, kicking off the show with Sexy Den A Mutha before performing Call My Name.

Although this is her first solo tour, her Girls Aloud bandmates were never far from her mind, paying tribute with The Promise, Biology and Love Machine during the second portion of the show.

“She was really happy with how it went and even had some drinks with the whole crew afterwards in her dressing room,” a show insider revealed.

As the show came to a close many fans took to Twitter to give rave reviews of the show.

Ahead of the show Cheryl’s pal Kimberley Walsh tweeted her support posting: “Good luck tonight @CherylCole!!! You’re gonna be amazing I’m so excited and proud of you! Have an amazing first show #chezzaontour”

The girls have recently got together along with Nicola Roberts, Nadine Coyle and Sarah Harding to record music ahead of their 10 year anniversary.
