Is Cheryl snubbing Simon for The Voice?

Former X Factor star Cheryl Cole has had a tense relationship with Simon Cowell ever since he fired her from the X Factor USA, and in a move which is set to make things even more awkward between the pair, Cheryl is choosing rival show The Voice to launch her latest single.

Cheryl’s manager and close friend will.i.am, who is one of the new celebrity ‘coaches’ on The Voice, has organised for the Geordie singer to perform on the show, which is set to clash in the programming schedule with Cowell’s Britain’s Got Talent when they both begin this Saturday.

A source from The Voice told The Sun: “It’s great news as we’ve made no secret of the fact we love Cheryl. But obviously Simon will be annoyed as he hates The Voice.”

Although it will be of little comfort to Simon, sources insist that rumours of Cheryl becoming a mentor on the BBC1 singing talent show are completely false.

The former Girls Aloud singer will be performing her new song in advance of her much anticipated third album which is due out next month.
