Jessie J was the big winner at last night’s MOBO Awards in Glasgow, scooping an impressive four awards. Jessie, who opened the star-studded show with a performance of her hit song Do It Like A Dude, bagged four out of the five trophies she was up for including Best Song, Best Newcomer, Best Album and Best UK Act.
“Wow. I did not
expect to win that at all,” she said while accepting the Best Album award in Glasgow on Wednesday night. “I just want to say the biggest thank you to my fans because I watched this last year by myself in my living room and no one knew who I was and now I just won best album. That is epic.”

Jessie J’s opening performance of Do It Like A Dude was hailed by the founder of the awards, which honour music of black origin.
Kanya King said: “Jessie’s opening number, I think people will remember that for a long time to come.”
She also praised the atmosphere in Glasgow, which was hosting the event for the second time.
