Jessie J has strenuously denied tabloid reports claiming her health is suffering due to her commitments.

According to to the Daily Star Sunday, the star was being closely watched during her stint on the TV talent show to make sure her health does not suffer.

A source close to the singer told the paper: ‘Jessie has a history of medical issues and needs to be monitored.

‘She works incredibly hard not only on The Voice but also promoting her album around the world.

‘Add that to the gruelling touring, personal appearances and recording and it would be a lot for anyone to take.’
The ‘Domino’ singer, who suffered a stroke when she was 18 and has spoken candidly about her problems in the past, was reported to be suffering from exhaustion due to coaching on The Voice UK.

In a series of messages to fans, Jessie J wrote on Twitter: “Every interview I did when I 1st bought my music out I was asked how I pulled through&kept;going through the health problems I had when I was young & I always said ‘Because I wanted to prove you can’.

“The media supported that I represent so many young people that suffer in silence&are;dealing with illness but still have dreams just like everybody else.

“Then I go on The Voice UK & stories are like boomerangs the media tries to throw them away but just keep coming back. Lazy. I am sure I have read the ‘health scare’ story about Cheryl [Cole], Tulisa [Contostavlos], Kelly [Rowland] the list is endless. Its an easy believable but untrue way the media works.”

She added: “My health is a very important part of my life & I don’t take lightly to the media making a joke about it. I have made huge sacrifices to making sure my body and mind can deal with my life & I am happy I am healthy & I am trying to make the UK proud.”
