Jose Mourinho and Jeremy Renner join Soccer Aid 2014 lineup

Jose Mourinho has been announced as manager for the Rest of the World team at this year’s Soccer Aid.

Avengers: Age of Ultron star Jeremy Renner has also been added to the Chelsea manager’s squad for the charity football match, which takes place at Old Trafford on June 8.

The event sees a mixture of celebrities and former football greats team up as an England team captained by Robbie Williams takes on a Rest of the World outfit led by Michael Sheen.

The Musketeers actor Santiago Cabrera and Italy legend Alessandro Del Piero have also been confirmed for the World XI.

It was previously announced that England’s players on the day will include Matt Smith, Jack Whitehall and Stephen Moyer, with James McAvoy, Gordon Ramsay and Nicky Byrne among their opponents.

West Ham United manager Sam Allardyce will take charge of England at the event, which has raised over £12 million for UNICEF in its history.

“Thanks to UNICEF for asking me to manage The Rest of the World at Soccer Aid on Sunday, June 8 at Old Trafford,” said Mourinho.

“I’m looking forward to beating Robbie Williams and Big Sam’s England team and raising money for UNICEF.”

Dermot O’Leary and Kirsty Gallacher will return to host the match – which will be broadcast live on ITV – while Cat Deeley will present an hour-long show from the player’s lounge in the lead-up to the game.
