Kanye West’s lawyers issue statement about alleged sex tape

Kanye West’s lawyers have issued a statement about a sex tape reportedly featuring the rapper that is being shopped around to the highest bidder.

On Friday it was reported that the video – filmed in a hotel room – starred Kanye and a Kim Kardashian lookalike.

West’s lawyers issued a cease and desist notice relating to the alleged footage on Sunday (September 23) since it violates West’s “rights of privacy and publicity”, reports All Hip-Hop.

The musician’s lawyers have also said that “the screen shot, as well as the tape from which the screen shot was taken, were illegally obtained and [are] believed to have been stolen from Mr. West’s computer”.

“We hereby demand that you… immediately cease and desist from posting, advertising, marketing, displaying and disseminating the illegally obtained screen shot of Mr West,” the statement added.

Due to the high demand of the sex tape, West’s lawyers are apparently seeking any information on the anonymous person who is shopping the footage, which Sex.com has reportedly offered to buy for $1 million (£616,532).
