Kasabian guitarist leaves band to join Beady Eye

Kasabian guitarist Jay Mehler has left the band in a shock swap of band.

The musician has parted ways with the rock act to join Liam Gallagher’s Beady Eye for their second studio album.

“Jay is our bro we’re all good and the last six years have been mega,” Sergio Pizzorno posted on Kasabian’s Facebook page. “He’s moving on and will be incredible in Beady Eye.

“We thought posting an awesome video was the best way to let you guys know that he will be missed.”

Kasabian will now have to find a new guitarist before their headline set at this year’s Hard Rock Calling, which takes place on June 29.
