Kylie Minogue celebrates 25 years in music with new style book
Kylie Minogue has showed off some iconic looks throughout her 25 years in the music industry.
From the gold hot pants to that plunging v-neck jumpsuit, the 44-year-old singer has paid tribute to her 25 years of show-stopping fashion in a new book called Kylie/Fashion.
In one shot Kylie is seen reclining and showing off her tiny frame in a cut out leotard and a pair of fishnet tights.
And in another, she is seen emerging from the sea in a plunging wet dress that clings to her shape.
The book has been put together by William Baker, who has been Kylie’s creative director for the majority of her successful career.
Designer Jean Paul Gaultier has taken time out of his busy fashionable life to write an introduction discussing the singer’s style.
In an interview with Metrosource.com, Kylie revealed that when she pictures herself she is without clothes at all.
She said: “I’m probably naked. Probably stripped of everything and just a blank canvas. I don’t know because, obviously, I think it is within me that I am that showgirl persona. There have been periods in my past when I haven’t worked for a bit, and I remember my girlfriends saying, ‘Can you just get a job? You’re really exhibiting yourself around here.”
She added: “If I had to choose one look that would define me — I can’t. I don’t pretend to be a chameleon; I am. Even if I did not have this job, I don’t think I’d show up for work looking the same every day.”
Kylie/Fashion is available from November 19 and costs £28.00.
