The rapper said that he plans to retire his solo career after his new album, which is currently slated for release on May 5.

“I personally plan on this being my final solo album, yes and it’s definitely the final Carter album,” he told MTV. “It’s thefinal Carter album. It’s stopping at five.”

Insisting that he will continue to guest feature on songs by acts on his Young Money label, he said: “I plan on it being my final solo album [bar] whenever I have to pitch in for a Young Money album, a Like Father, Like Son album and something like that and maybe something out the blue.”

However, Wayne confessed that the right offer would make him reconsider retiring his solo career, insisting: “25 to 35 million would get me to do another solo album after this.”

Wayne’s previous album, Tha Carter IV, topped the Billboard chart with 914,000 copies sold in its first week.
