Lindsay Lohan released from probation
Lindsay Lohan has completed her probation.
The Mean Girls actress returned to court for the final time on Thursday (March 29), where Judge Stephanie Sautner declared that Lohan has officially completed her probationary period.
Sautner said: “Ms Lohan has done everything she was ordered to do… probation terminates today. Now.
“She was given one year to complete it all and she has completed it short of a year, and she has done everything that this court has asked of her.”
“You’ve paid all your fees, paid more than you should’ve, but that’s between you and [the probation department],” Sautner went on to tell Lohan, before teasing her: “I wouldn’t go asking for a refund.”
The judge added: “The only terms left for you on that case are to obey all laws. It’s not that hard. I know it’s kind of hard when people are following you around all the time, but that’s the life you chose.”
Lohan thanked Sautner for her support, saying that she has helped her get back on track.
“I just want to say thank you, Your Honour, for being fair, and it’s really opened a lot of doors for me, so I really appreciate it,” Lohan said before exiting the court.
The actress completed her court-mandated community service earlier on Thursday.
Lohan can next be seen playing herself on Glee.
