Lucky Boy: Rihanna flirts with Jonathan Ross

She’s been single for over a year following her split from baseball player Matt Kemp. And despite being linked to ex-boyfriend Chris Brown in recent months, Rihanna admits she’s very much single… and bored with her relationship-free status. Appearing on tonight’s Jonathan Ross show, the Barbadian singer, 24, revealed what she was looking for in her dream man.

Single and ready to mingle: Rihanna, dressed head-to-toe in Boy London clothing, bemoaned her single statue of Jonathan Ross

She said: ‘I’m not looking but single life is so overrated. It sucks. ‘I have such incredible experiences in my life. You don’t want to live your life and then meet someone; you want to share your life with someone.  That’s what I’m missing right now. ‘I’d love to date somebody cool, fun, funny.’ Promoting her new album Talk That Talk, Rihanna paid homage to the city she was visiting by dressing head-to-toe in Boy London logo clothing. Having experienced break-ups with Kemp and Brown, Rihanna admitted to Ross she could relate to the heartbroken lyrics of Adele’s album 21. She explained: ‘I came to the Brits just to stalk Adele. It really was nothing about me, the Brits or the performance – it was to see Adele again. I saw her at the Grammys and I love her. I’m a big fan ‘Her last album 21 spoke to me so much, it was so personal to her but I feel like everyone in the world identified with it, to the point that I had to stop listening because it was depressing me so much. If you identify with it sometimes you don’t want to hear about it.’ During her recent visit to London, Rihanna was spotted using the Underground again, following a previous ride on the Jubilee Line last October.

The superstar said it made sense to use the tube, rather than spend ages stuck in traffic. She said: ‘There’s so much traffic. It’s an hour and a half to the O2 but it’s 10-15 minutes on the tube. ‘Me and my fans went to the concert together. That was the coolest part. I enjoyed it. I’m not afraid of interacting with people.’ But it appears the singer may have paid over the odds by using a paper ticket, rather than the money-saving Oyster pay-as-you-go system. When asked if she had an Oyster card, Rihanna replied: ‘I’m working on it.’
