Made in Chelsea’s Francis ‘dumped’ Emma Watson
‘I didn’t want to be the boyfriend of some child actress’: Made in Chelsea’s Francis Boulle on why he ‘dumped’ Emma Watson
With beauty, brains and talent, Emma Watson is one of the most eligible young women in the country.
But a former flame of the Harry Potter actress apparently didn’t like the idea of her fame eclipsing his own potential star power.
Made In Chelsea’s Francis Boulle was pictured flirting with Miss Watson, now 21, at a Cartier polo party back in 2008, and now the reality star has opened up about why the romance didn’t work out.
‘That’s why I chose not to pursue it any longer, because I didn’t want to be the boyfriend of some child actress.’
Unsurprisingly, Boulle admits that he and Emma have not kept in touch since their ill-fated fling.
He adds: ‘But we do share a lot of mutual friends and our paths cross from time to time.’
Of the actress, Lancôme spokesperson and university student, he says: ‘I actually really like Emma. She’s a really cool person.
‘She’s a very different person to who she is in the media. That’s what I liked about her – she’s very interesting.’
While her former flame is still musing over their romance, Emma has well and truly moved on.
After ending her two-year relationship with financier Jay Barrymore last year, Emma was linked to musician Georgie Craig and fellow Brown student Rafael Cibrian.
She is now dating her co-star in The perks Of Being A Wallflower, Johnny Simmons.
The pair have been spotted kissing and cuddling recently in LA, after meeting on the set of their film in May.
Just recently, Emma complained that she found it hard to find a boyfriend as boys are intimidated by her fame.
‘I say to my friends, “Why hasn’t x called me?” They’re like, “Probably because they are intimidated.” It must be the fame wall,’ she said.
‘I find it hard to believe anyone would find me intimidating.’
‘They know perfectly well who I am, but say, “How are the Narnia films going?”.’
And it seems it’s not just Emma who has been turned off by Boulle’s questionable attitude.
Despite being ranked as one of London’s most eligible bachelors three years running by Tatler magazine, the diamond mining heir hasn’t managed to pin down a girlfriend in his E4 reality series.
