Margot Robbie refused to lose weight for The Legend Of Tarzan

Margot Robbie refused to lose weight for The Legend Of Tarzan.

The Australian actress refused to go on a strict diet for her role as Jane, unlike her her co-star Alexander Skarsgard, because she wanted to try all the pubs in London.

She told Australia’s TV Week that she convinced producers that a woman of the 19th century would not have been a gym bunny.

“It’s the 19th century (in the film) – if she’s got a bit of weight on her, it’s probably a good thing,’ she said. ‘I’m not going to look thin just for the sake of it.”

Also, It was my first time living in London properly and I wanted to try every pub,” she said.

Alexander, who plays Tarzan, was put on an incredibly strict diet by producers, has made no secret of the fact he hated it.

“The diet – horrible!’ he told America’s Us Weekly magazine. ‘I’ve got to give credit to Guy, our chef. He had his hands tied – like, no sugar, no dairy. It was very strict. When we wrapped, I got in my car and went straight to my dad’s.”

“Nothing like a good dad feed.

“He loves to cook, so I spent four days on his couch being fed. It was the most incredible week: bone marrow, fried mozzarella, pasta, red wine. I was like, ‘Ahhh’.”
