NBA Round Up: Indiana Pacers take 3-1 series lead over New York Knicks

 

The Indiana Pacers are just one win away from reaching the Eastern Conference finals following their 93-82 victory over the New York Knicks.

George Hill led the way with 26 points and Paul George contributed 18 points, 14 rebounds and seven assists as the Pacers took a commanding 3-1 series lead.

Carmelo Anthony scored 24 points and JR Smith weighed in 19, but the Knicks fell well short and have it all to do ahead of game five at Madison Square Garden on Thursday.

The San Antonio Spurs edged into a 3-2 series lead by toppling the Golden State Warriors 109-91 in game five of their Western Conference semi-final.

Tony Parker had 25 points and 10 assists as the Spurs surged clear with dominant third and fourth quarters (29-21 and 26-19) to put themselves in the box seat heading into game six.

 

LeBron James leads the way as the Miami Heat open up 3-1 lead

Defending champions Miami Heat are on the brink of the Eastern Conference final after an 88-65 victory over the Chicago Bulls.

LeBron James registered 27 points, eight assists and seven rebounds as the Heat opened up a 3-1 series lead in the semi-final.

Chris Bosh also finished with 14 points and six rebounds for the Heat,as the Bulls – again missing Luol Deng and Kirk Hinrich – set a new franchise low for points in a play-off game.

The Memphis Grizzlies have also opened up a 3-1 lead in their Western Conference semi-final series – thanks to a 103-97 overtime success against the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Mike Conley poured in a team-high 24 points while Zach Randolph and Marc Gasol each contributed 23 at FedExForum to leave the defending Western Conference champions facing elimination.
