Ne-Yo apologises for angry response to NBA All-Star Game performance

RnB superstar, Ne-Yo has apologised for his angry reaction to critics after his performance at the NBA All-Star Game on Sunday.

The singer was largely panned on social media after singing the love songs ‘Let’s Go’ and ‘Let Me Love You’ during the introductions of the NBA All-Stars in Houston.

Longtime MTV VJ Dave Holmes and New York Daily News sports writer Manish Mehta were among many viewers who mocked Ne-Yo on Twitter, leading the hip-hop star to lash out.

He wrote on Sunday: “Shout out to those showing love. Everybody has an off day….all good. F**k any and all haters. Talk it while I live it bitches!!!”

Ne-Yo later appeared to step back his initial response by acknowledging that people weren’t necessarily wrong for critiquing his performance.

“I take my craft very serious. However, forgot for a second that everyone’s entitled to their own opinion…I won’t forget again. ALL LOVE,” he wrote.

The 2013 NBA All-Star Game also featured a pre-game version of the National Anthem by John Legend and a half-time set by Alicia Keys.
