NFL: New Orleans Saints topple the Philadelphia Eagles

Drew Brees helped guide the New Orleans Saints to a 28-13 victory over the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday.

Brees extended his NFL record of consecutive games with a touchdown pass to 51 with two scoring connections – with the quarterback also completing 21-of-27 for 239 yards.

Brees found Marques Colston with a one-yard pass and then Jimmy Graham with a six-yard pass as New Orleans recorded their third win in four outings.

The Saints also saw Patrick Robinson pick off a Michael Vick pass to race in from 99 yards for the opening score, while Chris Ivory registered a 22-yard touchdown run.

Vick endured a miserable night as the Eagles fell to 3-5 for the season.

The Philadelphia quarterback has found his place in side under question and he did little to silence he critics.

As well as being intercepted, the 32-year-old was sacked seven times and completed 22-of-41 passes as the Saints cranked up the pressure.

Vick did connect with DeSean Jackson with a 77-yard touchdown pass, while Alex Henery landed two field goals.
