Ryan Adams releases new 10-song 7″ record

Ryan Adams is to release a new 7″ record, the next in his Pax-Am 7″ series.

1984 is described on Adams’s website as “a concise, intense and completely self-contained musical statement” and is separate from the artist’s upcoming album.

1984 pays tribute to the early releases from Dischord, SST, Touch & Go and other such record labels representing punk music.

The tracklisting is as follows:

Side 1
1. When the Summer Ends
2. What If You Were Wrong
3. Over and Over
4. Change Your Mind
5. Broken Eyes

Side 2
1. Why Did They Leave You Alone
2. Rats in the Wall
3. Bones and Ash
4. Wolves
5. Push It Away

The record, which has already sold out on the online store, will be released on August 19.

Adams will release his self-titled album in September, his first solo record since 2011’s Ashes & Fire.
