Sarah-Jane Crawford quits X Factor

Sarah-Jane Crawford has confirmed she won’t be returning to X Factor.

The DJ joined the talent contest last year, fronting ITV2 spinoff show, The Xtra Factor.

“Xtra factor has been amazing,” she tweeted today (May 11).

“However I have a new project coming up this summer & with all the changes happening I won’t be back.

“But I’m so excited to see the new line up and wanna wish them all the luck in the world… Can’t wait to watch them in action!”

Crawford is also known for her presenting work on BBC Radio 1Xtra, and for hosting coverage of T in the Park and the Mobo Awards before joining The Xtra Factor.

Sarah-Jane is just one of the major changes for The X Factor before it returns to ITV this autumn, with the news that veteran judge Louis Walsh will not be back.

The leading candidate tipped to replace Walsh on the X Factor judging panel currently is BBC Radio 1 presenter Nick Grimshaw.
