The Ivor Novello Awards 2012 winners

Adele, Take That and Spandau Ballet’s Gary Kemp were all among the winners at today’s Ivor Novello Awards.

The award ceremony – which is celebrating its 57th year – took place at the Grosvenor House hotel in London earlier today (May 17).

The annual show celebrates excellence in music writing and recognises talent from composers across all genres.

There are six main categories, as well as a number of special awards including ‘The Ivors Jazz Award’, ‘The Ivors Inspiration Award’ and ‘Songwriter(s) of the Year’.

‘Lifetime Achievement’, ‘Outstanding Song Collection’, ‘PRS for Music Outstanding Contribution to British Music’ and ‘PRS for Music Special International Award’ were also presented.
