The Saturdays’ TV show to air on US channel E!

The Saturdays’ are set to make their mark on America when their new reality TV show ‘Chasing The Saturdays’ premieres on E!.

The first episode will be broadcast in the US on January 20 next year with a premiere date for the UK currently in the pipeline.

Rochelle, Frankie, Mollie, Una and Vanessa promise that the show is “filled with music, laughs, drama, glamour and fun as we navigate our way through the world of US pop culture.”

The Sats have signed with American record label Mercury/Island Def Jam Records, and each 30-minute instalment will see the girls promote their latest single ‘What About Us’ while settling into a new and vibrant city, dealing with husbands and lovers back in the UK.

A vibrant promotional picture for the reality programme has been unveiled, showing each Saturday donning something relating to US culture, including Mickey Mouse ears, a tiara and a large necklace bearing the American dollar sign.

The girls have been loving the experience and even hit up New York Fashion Week and hit the streets for a spot of shopping.

Mollie King has said that she believes the fives piece can replicate the success of boy bands One Direction and The Wanted across the pond, saying: “I think they’ve both done so incredibly well.

“They’re just getting swamped by fans. It’s really encouraging for British music I think…we really want to follow suit if we can.”
