The Voice UK’s Bo Bruce loses her mother to cancer

The Voice UK singer Bo Bruce has lost her mother, following a long battle with pancreatic cancer.

The 26-year-old singer – who was a runner up on the first season of ‘The Voice – released a statement on her official website saying: ‘Bo’s mother Ros passed away peacefully in the night, at home, surrounded by loved ones.

‘Bo would like to thank all of you for the messages of love and support, they mean so much to her.

‘She promises she will be back before too long, for now she is spending quiet time with her close friends and family.’

Bruce wrote on her Facebook page: “Light a candle, thousands of us, light a candle.”

A message on her website stated: “Bo promises she will be back before too long. She is spending quiet time with her close friends and family.”

The singer had previously cancelled an appearance at T in the Park last week in order to be with her family.
