The Wanted have revealed that they fear public backlash over their future collaboration with Chris Brown.

The UK boyband, who are scheduled to team up with the singer in the studio before Christmas, admitted they are nervous about the reaction it might provoke.

“Chris Brown really wants to get in the studio with us and we’re going to go out there before Christmas to sing and write,” band member Jay McGuiness told the Metro.

“I think it’s been really hard for him to shake it (Brown’s assault charge). I mean, we’ll possibly get a backlash. He still gets a lot of flak for everything that’s gone on.

“We are nervous but if the song’s a good song it’s our song as much as it is his as well, but, yeah, it’s something we’re definitely thinking about.”

The Wanted released their new single ‘I Found You’ earlier this week and their new album is expected in March 2013.
