The Wanted’s Nathan Sykes to collaborate with Sam Smith

The Wanted’s Nathan Sykes has hinted at a potential collaboration with Sam Smith.

The former Wanted star – who is currently preparing to release his first solo album – said that “it’ll be such a great opportunity to create something really cool”.

“We’ve spoken about going into the studio before and I think it’s quite likely going to happen over the next year. It’ll be insane. I think it’ll be such a great opportunity to create something really cool,” he told E! News.

“Sam Smith at the Grammys was just insane. I’ve been listening to a lot of Sam Smith, Ed Sheeran and I’m living in hope for this Adele album. So, yes, I am quite biased toward the Brits.”

Sykes recently said that he is looking forward to being judged “as an individual”, rather than as “one fifth of a group”.

He has collaborated with the likes of Harmony Samuels, Babyface and Diane Warren on his solo record.
