Tulisa reveals hopes for X Factor & talks about single

Tulisa Contostavlos has said that she would love to see the return of former judge Dannii Minogue on X Factor and that she thinks the two would ‘get on well’.

Speaking on Daybreak this morning the X Factor judge said: “I used to watch X Factor before I got on the panel, so I always thought Dannii was great and I enjoyed watching her, so I’m sure we’d get along really well.”

Dannii has been rumoured to be replacing Kelly Rowland in a new deal to return to the ITV talent show panel, while Tulisa is expected to sign a new contract, however she did confirm nothing had been made official yet.

Asked if she would be returning this year, Tulisa said: ‘It looks likely. I know nothing.’

Tulisa appeared on Daybreak to talk about her solo single Young – released yesterday (April 29) and is currently number one on the UK iTunes chart.

Speaking about the track she said: “When I first heard the song the vision I had was being at a festival with loads of young people my age, singing this song in unison.

“I think the younger generation can be misunderstood. I’ve always been an Ibiza baby so I wanted to incorporate that in the song.”

When asked about the prospect of perhaps reuniting in the future with her N-Dubz bandmates, she said: ‘We just wanted some time out, we all wanted to do our solo projects and establish ourselves as solo artists.

Standing out from the crowd: Tulisa wore a denim playsuit and black knee-high boots as she arrived at the ITV studios this morning “We just don’t have a set time on when we’re going to reunite. We know we want to do it, and we probably will do it, we just haven’t set a time yet.”

Kate Garraway and Dan Lobb also asked Tulisa if she had a new boyfriend, with the 23-year-old singer replying: ‘Yes, I am with someone new.”

Tulisa has been seen out and about on numerous occasions with Skins actor Jack O’Connell, but the pair have yet to confirm that they are together.

As she arrived at the ITV studios this morning for an interview on Daybreak, Tulisa showed off her unique fashion sense in a denim playsuit and a pair of knee-high black boots, paired with a headscarf and huge sunglasses.
