Whitney Houston hotel guests demand refund
Several guests who were staying at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on the day of Whitney Houston’s death are now reportedly demanding a refund.
They maintain that, in light of the commotion during that night, their stay became increasingly uncomfortable.
Guests on the fourth floor where Whitney died told TMZ that the floor was on lockdown for the duration of the weekend, causing them extreme inconvenience.
LA police and paramedics were present in the hotel during the weekend when Whitney was found dead in her bathtub, forcing patrons to stay in their rooms to avoid being stopped by security.
Several guests have now stepped forward to ask for refunds or discounts, but the Beverly Hilton has allegedly not granted the requests, with the guests being asked to file official complaints online or at the hotel’s reception desk.
A spokesperson for the Beverly Hilton said: “Given the extraordinary nature of the events of last Saturday evening, the Beverly Hilton took every precaution to protect the privacy of the Houston family as well as the hotel guests who may have been impacted by the incident.
“The hotel cooperated fully with the Beverly Hills police which included securing the fourth floor to insure the safety and well-being of all guests… and regrets any inconvenience that may have occurred in the immediate aftermath of Saturday’s events.”
Whitney Houston’s funeral was held yesterday (February 18) in her hometown of Newark, New Jersey. Those attending included Tyler Perry and Clive Davis, and Kevin Costner spoke during the four-hour service.
