Jesy Nelson breaks down on stage before cancelling two gigs

Little Mix’s Jesy Nelson broke down in tears just hours before the girl group cancelled two gigs.

Hours before a mystery illness struck Jesy forced Little Mix to cancel two shows, the 24-year-old singer broke down on stage in floods of tears.

Talking about body confidence during their Dublin performance on Wednesday, the star was overcome with emotion and struggled to get her words out as she was caught on camera fighting back tears in a clip released by a fan on Twitter.

“If you’re ever feeling really crap about yourself or not feeling confident this is exactly why we wrote this song…” she said, before pausing to compose herself.

While her bandmates rushed to comfort her, the star struggled to hold back her tears as she continued: “I’m so emotional. I don’t know what’s wrong with me!”

The video was shared online by Twitter user Ryan Love, who added along with the clip: ‘The cutest moment as Jesy @LittleMix got a bit emosh before performing Little Me tonight ❤️ #GetWeirdTourDublin.’

The emotional performance came hours before Little Mix were forced to cancel their matinee and evening show at the SSE arena in Belfast on Thursday after Jesy fell ill. 

The cancellation announcement came just minutes after the doors opened for the afternoon performance. 

The band made an announcement on their Twitter page as they apologised to disappointed fans.
