Kristen Stewart returned to the spotlight last night, attending the Toronto Film Festival to promote her new movie, On The Road.

This is the Twilight actresses first red carpet appearance since since news of her affair with married director Rupert Sanders was exposed back in July.

While it’s usually her beau and Twilight co-star who joins her on the red carpet, Kristin flew solo with her publicist Ruth Bernstein, who looked to be giving the young star a few words of support before she was confronted by a mele of fans and paparazzi.

Kristin looked to be getting a pep talk from her publicist Ruth Bernstein

The 22-year-old appeared to have been styled in an ambivalent style of dress, innocently decorated with flowers, but suggestive with its sheer bodice and lace lower skirt panel making it see-through.

While Kristen offered a smile for the camera when posing with a hand on her hip for photographers, the atmosphere proved a little overwhelming and she was later seen with crossed arms looking sad.

Elegant: It seems Kristen's dress was carefully chosen to paint her as a vamp compared to Kirsten Dunst's princess pink

In July, Kristen was photographed in the arms of her married Snow White and the Huntsman director, Rupert Sanders – breaking not only the hearts of his wife Liberty Ross but also that of her long-term love Robert Pattinson.

Pattinson has since returned to the limelight, squirming his way through various appearances as he promotes new David Cronenberg film Cosmopolis, while avoiding questions on K-Stew at all cost.

However the two will come face to face soon as The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2 is due to be released in November…will the two walk the red carpet together? We can’t wait to see…
