Raheem Sterling out for season

Raheem Sterling could miss the rest of the season due to his groin injury.

Sterling may be out of action for the rest of the season but Manchester City team-mate Joe Hart may be back in a fortnight.

Sterling suffered a groin injury and Hart picked up a calf problem in the 1-0 defeat to Manchester United on Sunday, when boss Manuel Pellegrini said the England pair were both looking at a month out.

According to Sky Sports News HQ Sterling’s injury is more serious, and he could be on sidelined for between six and eight weeks.

That could mean he does not play for the club again this season if City fail to make the Champions League final, which does not take place until May 28.
