Rik Mayall died from a seizure
Rik Mayall died from a “seizure of some sort”, according to his former colleague Peter Richardson.
The comedian passed away yesterday (June 9) at the age of 56, but the cause of death was not immediately known.
Speaking on BBC Radio 4’s Today programme earlier (June 10), Mayall’s friend and the Comic Strip Presents founder Peter Richardson divulged the news.
He said: “He was happily chatting away and it was very quick and we still don’t quite know what happened but it was a seizure of some sort.”
The cause of death will likely not be confirmed until following an autopsy.
