Spotted: Gossip Girl’s Blake Lively dresses down between takes

Blake Lively was spotted taking a break on the New York set of Gossip Girl yesterday, swapping her usual glamorous threads for a dressing gown.

The 24-year-old was caught wearing a black dressing gown and flip flops – lunch in hand – while taking a break between scenes.

Taking care of that enviable figure, Blake snacked on a fruit salad during her break, as fans snapped pictures of her from the sidelines.

The actress, who plays Serena van der Woodsen in the hit show, was spotted strutting around New York’s Madison Avenue wearing five-inch strappy heels and a plunging blue dress while filming scenes earlier in the week.

But between takes, she kicked off her stylish but painful stilettos and slipped into a comfy pair of flat loafers.

Blake was filming with her co-stars Chace Crawford and Barry Watson, who will be playing her love interest.

When the hit show returns in October, Serena is expected to return to her old wild ways for the last season.

Back in May, a spokesperson told Us Weekly: ‘Serena has gone off the grid, beyond even the reach of Gossip Girl. Her friends fear for the worst and hope for the best, but even they can’t imagine where they will ultimately find her.’

While off the Gossip Girl set, Blake has been busy in the world of movies, most recently starring in Oliver Stone’s drug thriller Savages, playing  O, the girlfriend of a marijuana grower who gets kidnapped.

Revealing how challenging the role was, Blake said: ‘I love that it’s so different from everything that I’ve ever known or seen. I love that challenge.

‘I love exploring worlds that are so unknown to me. And having somebody like Oliver made it such a great experience because he gave us so many opportunities.’
