SPOTTED: Lamar Odom comes out of hiding

Lamar Odom has been spotted for the first time since going missing for almost a week.

The NBA player, who is married to Khloe Kardashian, has not been seen out in public since being spotted piling bags of luggage into the back of a car in Los Angeles last Wednesday.

Lamar was spotted on Monday behind the wheel of his Mercedes looking sombre and tired as allegations by TMZ suggest that his drug use has escalated to an “alarming and life threatening level.”

The NBA and reality star wore a black T-shirt and necklace and appeared to be on his own.

Lamar’s troubles seem to have come to a head with recent reports of his cheating on wife Khloe, and the fact she reportedly threw him out of the marital home last week.

The 33-year-old’s appearance came amid allegations that his drug problems, including alleged abuse of crack cocaine and Oxycontin have been going on for some time.

Sources connected to a Westin Hotel in Memphis, Tennessee told TMZ that Lamar’s hotel room ‘contained signs of drug use’ after his stay last March.

Several Westin hotel employees in various cities contacted by the website have apparently complained about the condition in which Lamar left his hotel rooms.

Lamar is now technically a free agent after a season at the LA Clippers, and new reports are suggesting he will not be re-signed to the team

NBA sources told TMZ that they had wanted to re-sign Lamar over the summer but he was “nearly impossible to reach.”

Despite the team still being interested, no progress was made on contract discussions, and they officially broke down following reports of Lamar’s alleged drug abuse, say the website.

TMZ reports that the team have now “closed the book on a new deal permanently,” and have instead signed former L.A. Lakers forward to replace Lamar – meaning their team roster is now full.
