The Wanted’s Siva Kaneswaran has revealed that he was approached to appear in a new Bollywood film.

The singer said that he was offered the lead in a movie by a top talent agency for the Asian film industry, who is convinced he could become a huge star.

“It was so funny. He approached me and gave me this long speech about making me a star over there and that they wanted me to be the lead in the film,” Kaneswaran is quoted by The Sun as saying.

“He said he wanted the other lads too, but only as pretend group members in the background in a few scenes.”

However, Kaneswaran insisted that the remaining band members did not take offence to the offer, adding: “They saw the funny side.”

The Wanted’s new single ‘Chasing The Sun’ is available to download in the US now and will be released in the UK on May 21.
