The Wanted’s Siva Kaneswaran has revealed that he was approached to appear in a new Bollywood film.

The singer said that he was offered the lead in a movie by a top talent agency for the Asian film industry, who is convinced he could become a huge star.

“It was so funny. He approached me and gave me this long speech about making me a star over there and that they wanted me to be the lead in the film,” Kaneswaran is quoted by┬áThe Sun as saying.

“He said he wanted the other lads too, but only as pretend group members in the background in a few scenes.”

However, Kaneswaran insisted that the remaining band members did not take offence to the offer, adding: “They saw the funny side.”

The Wanted’s new single ‘Chasing The Sun’ is available to download in the US now and will be released in the UK on May 21.
