EastEnders: Max is released from prison

Max Branning is finally released from prison in EastEnders next week as Carl White’s plan to frame him falls apart.

The story so far has seen Carl and Ian lie to the police about who tampered with Phil Mitchel’s car, causing it to crash.

Putting Max in the frame for it, Carl continues to pressure Ian to keep up the rouse and as Max’s trial kicks off, Max and the Branning family begin to feel more positive as his barrister states that there is not enough evidence for the case to proceed.

During a break, a fuming Carl calls Peter who still has no idea where Ian is.

Returning to court, the judge decides there is no case and Max is found not guilty and the family are overjoyed.

Max gets a taste of freedom.

Max and Carl leave court.

Overwhelmed with being a free man, Max goes for a walk alone, leaving Carl seething that his plan has fallen apart.

EastEnders wil air these scenes on Tuesday, November 12 on BBC One.
